Softwarepatents would benefit the big players and further limit competion and employment within the EU. needless to mention that pricing for small businesses would increase too. examples of big deals e.g. Arbeitsagentur germany (employment agency) have introduced a new internet-site (to start off with 100 million € - and for further payment of about 60 million €)this might be not in the interest of taxpayers and especially of the unemployed people. Might it be possible by the EU to draw the attention to small and medium size companies in the IT-field which are highly competitive and flexibel as to the state of the art technique.
