Ultreia Comunicaciones: Software patents will make our business too risky to continue
We are a consultant firm which develops solutions based mainly on free software. Part of our work involves programming, integrating third part solutions and designing new services. Our primary target are SMEs, which benefit from the low cost and reliable solutions we can provide using proven and community developed software.

CEO of Ultreia
We would be severely hurt by software patents, as our whole bussines would be in big multinational's hands. We would have to stop programming because the many absurd patents infringed in each software product we develop. In fact, even our free software based solutions would be instantly illegal in case software patents are approved.
If software pattents are approved and we manage to become an interesting target/competitor for any big brand, they would have "legal" power enough to force us out of bussines. In consequence, software patents would just make our bussines too risky, and force us to not develop any interesting work to avoid gaining attention.
